Jeni Breen
Intro and Bio:
Jeni Breen has been involved with Dance her entire life, as a performer, choreographer and teacher. Prior to teaching at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center she earned a BFA in Dance Performance/Choreography from the California Institute of the Arts. She moved to the east coast and danced for 15 years as a member of Donald Byrd/The Group, a NY based modern dance company. She was certified by the Society of American Fight Directors and worked as a choreographer of theatrical combat (fist-a-cuffs! swordplay!) and dances for plays, musicals and operas throughout the country. A life-changing visit to the Sandra Cameron Dance Center introduced her to the extraordinary world of ballroom and partner dancing--a world into which she plunged without looking back! She joined the faculty at SCDC in 1995 where she teaches Argentine Tango, Salsa and Ballroom. In addition to teaching she is the Program coordinator for the Argentine Tango and Salsa Programs at SCDC.
