Fran Chesleigh
Intro and Bio:
Fran Chesleigh has been a ballroom dance professional since 1959. Over the years, he has taught for the Dale and Fred Astaire chains, and for Stepping Out. As one of Dance Manhattan's original instructors, Fran helped to develop the school's dance curriculum, and served for a time as Assistant Director.
Fran is the producer of the well-received AMC television special "Gotta Dance" which featured, many social dancers from the New York scene. He is the Dance Director for the Stardust Dance Productions, which sponsors an ongoing series of highly successful social dance weekend events in well-known resort areas. Fran is also actively involved in conducting dance workshops around the country in his specialties -- Paladium-style Mambo, Roseland-style Fox-trot, Savoy-style Lindy Hop, Peabody, and Salon-style Argentine Tango.
