He was a co-founder, the president, and one of the dancers in the first professional ballroom formation team and show group in Turkey: Dance Classic.
Eray was introduced to Argentine tango in January 2000, after he moved to Syracuse, NY for the MS program in computer science. His primary instructor and raw model was and is Metin Yazir, the founder and owner of Bailatango, international tango school centered in New York and represented in twelve cities spread across five countries. Since 2000, Eray has perfected his tango style and technique with world famous names such as Gustavo Naviera & Guiselle Anne and others.
Martina was first introduced to Argentine tango in 2001, and she has been dancing ever since. After she moved to Boston in 2002, she started assisting Eray in his classes, and taking an active part in organizing Bailatango events in the area.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Eray and Martina have both been trained in the vein of Bailatango tradition, best represented by the owner and founder of Bailatango, Metin Yazir. Within it, they identified their own individual expression, which is natural, yet technically sophisticated, making their dance precise and detail-oriented, but at the same time smooth and gracious.
In addition to holding group and private classes, Eray and Martina organize Milongas (Argentine tango nights), intensive workshops with renown, world famous tango masters as well as perform in various tango events.
