Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego
The small city of Ushuaia is located all the way at the bottom of South America, in a region called Tierra del Fuego. This location is very special because Ushuaia is the Southern-most city and golf course in the world.
The course, which opened in 1992, is playable from about September to April. A unique feature is that in December and January it doesn't get dark until midnight and you can play a rather late round of golf. You will even receive a certificate for playing on the southernmost golf course in the world.
Depending on the season you come, you may find very unique hazards in this not-so-typical round of golf. Besides those peculiarities, dangerous trees and tricky winds pose the most problems at this course.
