Argentine Literature

Argentina has produced some of the worlds greatest writers, novelests and playwrights. The spirit, culture and imagination of the country and its people is reflected in their work.
Jorge Luis Borges:
The Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986) is one of the best in
the Spanish language. He wrote short stories, essays and poetry; some of his works are the "Universal History of Infamy", "Anthology of Fantastic Literature" and "Fictions".

Ernesto Sabato:
This great Argentine writer also a learned physician and all around man. Educated in Argentina and Paris, Ernesto held a post as a professor in the University of Buenos Aires for a number of years before leaving academics and devoting all his time to his writings.
Some of his works are "Of heros and Tumbes" ("Sobre heroes y tumbas"), "Between the Letter and Blood" ("Entre la letra y la sangre") and "Before the End ("Antes del fin").
