Whale Watching from Puerto Piramides

Punta Loma Fauna Reserve

Punta Loma is a site on the Southeast of Peninsula Valdes. At the sight there is a small rise of 15 meters with a superb view of a colony of sea lions.

Puerto Madryn is a port on the Golfo Nuevo and was the site of the first Welsh landing in 1865. Puerto Madryn is also the best base for the exploration of Peninsula Valdes with the best lodging, dining and touring options available. There is also a pleasant beach in Puerto Madryn.

Isla de los Pajaros Natural Reserve

Island of the Birds is located just under a kilometer North of Peninsula Valdes. The island is preservatory for the immense variety of sea birds that mate there every year. The island is closed off to visitors, but to satisfy the curiosity of tourists, powerful binoculars are available at the observation post nearby.

A smaller welch town that is very quiet. Many tours to Punto Tombo include a visit to this deserted town. Tours give you time to have lunch or go to an authentic Welch tea-house and enjoy amazing tea an array of deserts.
