Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi
Argentina's Oldest National Park extends over 2 million acres just to the east of the Andes Mountains. Of the large concentration of lakes in the park, the largest is the Lago Nahuel Huapi next to which the city of Bariloche sits.

Victoria Island is the most popular excursion on Lago Nahuel Huapi. The biggest island on the lake offers enchanting views of bays, lagoons, and a grove of California redwoods that thrives at its center.

Swiss Colony - Colonia Suiza
This picturesque Swiss village is located at the shores of Lake Perito Moreno, on the way to the Llao Llao Hotel. The main highlights are the people which are descendents of Swiss and French settlers. Sample their foods and visit the nearby fish farm and fruit orchards.

Monte Tronador
Thunderer Mountain is just over 50 miles from Bariloche. The 12,000 foot extinct volcano is in the middle of the border between Argentina and Chile. The charming hotel Tronador is a great place to relax. The hotel has a dock for arriving boat tours. Guided horseback rides can be arranged at the Pampa Linda lodge.

Cerro Otto
Otto Mountain is a small skiing and hiking area 3 miles from Bariloche. Taking the Teleferico(automated lift) up to the top you can find a revolving cafeteria with majestic 360° views of the surrounding lakes and Monte Tronador.

In the summer, hiking and mountain biking are the main attractions. In the winter skiing and sleding are available. Rentals available in the cafetiria.
