The main house is located in the Traful Valley, with snow-capped peaks in the distance and the pristine stream of the Traful River, which runs through powerful rapids for more than ten miles, and has pools of brown and rainbow trout. The surrounding Andes Mountains are also a perfect place for exciting horseback riding and trekking excursions. In the summer you can also enjoy an outdoor picnic of asado, (Argentina barbeque) at the lake.
The estancia features 4 double rooms with a private bath and mountain views, as well as a cozy log cabin that can sleep four atop a rocky hill and overlooking the river. The stay includes all meals, laundry, airport transfers, and English-speaking guides for the various activities. Peuma Hue Estancia
Peuma Hue is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure sports with its 200 hectares of surrounding mountains, forests, and waterfalls. Located on the shores of the Gutierrez Lake and at the foot of Catedral Sur and Mount D'Agostini, Puema Hue is an excellent place for trekking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and kayaking. For the more adventurous you can opt to go white water rafting, rock climbing, or rappelling. The estancia is also close by to the trails that connect to the Nahuel Haupi National Park, one of the largest and most visited national parks in Argentina.
Peuma Hue provides their guests luxury lodging in the rugged wilderness of Patagonia. Enjoy a cozy room overlooking the Gutierrez Lake or lodging in a private cabin with suite bedrooms. They also have a stable, an organic garden, and a green house. Peuma Hue is also unique in that they feature delicious, homemade meals made from organic vegetables from their garden. Located 30 minutes north of Bariloche and in the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Estancia Fortin Chacbuco offers its guests an opportunity to discover the unique historical flavor of a traditional Patagonian estancia. The surrounding landscape of Andes mountains, waterfalls, and forests makes it an excellent place to see the exquisite natural beauty that is typical of Patagonia.
