Bariloche Cathedral
The Cathedral of Nestra Senora de Nahuel Huapi is a monument that stands tall on the shores of the lake with the same name in Bariloche. Construction started in 1946 by the architect Alejandro Bustillo. Almost 50 stained glass windows depict religious themes and local history.


Museo de la Patagonia
The museum is one of the best Argentinean museums because it contains a great collection of ethnographic and archeological exhibits. This museum is located in the downtown Civic Center(Centro Civico) and is open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Tuesday and Friday 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Civic Center
The civic center is a group of mediaval style buildings beautifully located in the center of Bariloche. The complex has a pretty square, a clocktower, and statue to General Roca, the leader of a desert campaign that pushed back the Indians in 1879. The building in the complex include the City Hall, Museo de la Patagonia, tourist office, library, police station, exhibition hall and a National Parks office.

Calle Mitre
The street Bartolome Mitre is the main shopping street in Bariloche. Interesting buildings with wooden facades hose cafes, chocolate shops, souvenier stands and restaurants.

Puerto San Carlos
Main dock and embarkation point for ships coming to and going from Bariloche via the magnificent lake. Excursions to Victoria Island and information on many other boat trips is available at the port.
