Ushuaia in the region of Tierra del Fuego in the extreme South of Argentina. Ushuaia is also the southern-most city in the world. The city has a varying climate that is not very severe as one may think because the mountains and the sea keep temperatures up and the climate mild.
October to May are the warmest months without snow, while May to October are the coldest. December to February Ushuaia has highest temperatures and 18 hours of light a day. Winters in Ushuaia get very few hours of daylight. Therefore summer months are best for hiking and trekking while skiing is popular in the wintertime.
